WELCOME TO RUT HOCKEY!
Realizing Unlimited Talent. We
are a tight knit group of hockey players that are from all over the
country that play together to help grow the sport of hockey. We first started as a Pond Hockey Team and realized that everyone should have an opportunity to play hockey. Our goal is to promote both Youth
and Adult Hockey around the United States by sponsoring interested candidates to play hockey. We are proud of the success of
instruction that we give to youth and adult hockey players enabling them
to maximize their abilities and obtain the most enjoyment possible from
the position and sport. Our goal is to watch the sport of hockey grow in your communities!
Mission Statement: Rut Hockey's mission is to introduce the youth and adults of area communities to the great game of ice hockey, such that every child and adult through their participation in the program, can enjoy a positive, character building sports experience while creating a passion for the game.
The Rut believes that through the development of every individual, the collective team benefits from the resulting depth, diversity, and cohesion. This produces a level of confidence that brings success in the competitive hockey environment. Currently 60% of players drop out before PeeWees and 20% drop out after only one season leading to an overall decline in retention since 2000. Our goal is to help grow hockey! Coach Herb Brooks was famous for saying that, “Great moments are born from great opportunities.” Well this is our opportunity. Our time to get it right.
Emphasis will always be placed upon education, personal development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The individual conduct of board members, coaches, players, and parents will be maintained to ensure a positive culture in which all can honor the sport, and exemplify an organization in which to be proud of.
